So be prepared to get crafty! One of the most traditionally over-the-top holidays is about to go mod and minimalist!
For wall and overhead decorations
We found these easy but eye-catching geometric projects you can recreate. Two are garlands—one made by stringing together hexagon-shaped paper cutouts (2) to form stylized shamrocks, and the other with ‘flags’ in three shades of green (1) sewn together on string. While a third is a wall-mounted ‘mosaic’ style shamrock (3) assembled from triangles in green and gold—to match a striking geo pillow!
How creative are these super-cool clay place card holders (1) dressed up with geometric tags and bits of greenery, or these 3D paper ‘geodes’ (2) that you can simply pile into vases or bowls as centerpieces! Then, there’s the simple but striking pile of ‘gold bars’ (3) atop a pretty green cake stand.
The selection of St. Patrick’s Day printables out there is amazing. But we spotted these geometric-inspired ones that have the mod look we had in mind! Two are variations of a “Lucky” art print—one in understated mint green on a background of diagonal stripes (1), the other circular with broad, bolder green stripes and stenciled gold calligraphy (4).
Two more are mini posters—first a striking gold-foil shamrock (2) set in a white frame, and second a watercolor-style Irish saying (3) displayed with mod geo accents.
For party favors
Yes, we found great geo-inspired ideas for these, too! Check out the mini painted pots (2) holding succulents that guests would love to take home. Then, these DIY cootie catchers (1) that could serve as a St. Patty’s game as well, and adorable striped favor bags (3) that you can fill with Irish goodies and trim with rainbow pompoms! Then, there are fun toothpick toppers (4) to jazz up party food and sweet treats!
Don’t you just love this trendy spin on St. Patrick’s Day party decor? And for what to serve at such a bash? Why, a beer-infused menu, of course!
