Since a Father’s Day gathering is usually a family affair, you can easily DIY or buy your luau party invitations (1) to give each one. Then come party time, play up the whole ‘tiki’ tradition for tropical settings. Have miniature tiki torches (2) as part of the centerpieces, and set up an eye-catching tiki bar (3) serving colorful cocktails, juices, and punch!

Greet everyone with a festive “Aloha” banner (4), leis of tropical blooms, and loose flowers floating in the pool. Then, for the appetizer display (5), craft creative touches like palm tree skewers, mini sand buckets, and little surf boards!

The grill is traditionally Dad’s turf at BBQ bashes. But on Father’s Day, allow him to sit back and enjoy mouth-watering dishes you’ve all prepared for him (recipes are in the links below). Consider Kalua pork sliders with pineapple-mango slaw (1), grilled shrimp and pineapple skewers (4), and sweet Hawaiian barbecue grilled chicken (6).

Serve ice-cold beverages like this Blue Hawaii cocktail (2) for the grownups, and desserts like pineapple upside down cake (3) and haupia coconut pudding (5) for everyone!
