We hear from Pantone’s 2016 spring colors that pastels are going to be a huge trend for weddings next year! So we find ourselves drawn by the prospect of luscious spring florals in pink and green for this Wedding Colors inspiration post. Or in Pantone’s color forecast, pink quartz and green flash. Come see what could be blooming at your wedding this spring, from the ceremony style to the reception decorations!

THE STYLE – The overall look and feel of this wedding would be fresh, soft and light thanks to spring flowers (4) in softer shades of pink paired with verdant foliage. So your wedding dress (1) could be a mix of Old World glam and modern-vintage, in a delicate blush fabric with dainty floral appliques.

THE CEREMONY – Of course, a garden wedding would be just the thing for the season. Picture a lovely lawn bounded by flowering bushes, with the ceremony seating (6) adorned with hanging bouquets and the grassy aisle strewn with fresh petals. Playing in the background is a romantic string quartet!

THE CAKE AND SWEETS – A pink ruffled wedding cake (2) crowned with a trio of sugar peonies and encrusted with gold sequins would be the star of your sweets
buffet. While other pink desserts could be strawberry and peach tartlets, rose-shaped meringues and delicate macarons.

THE DECORATIONS – Since the table settings will be most visible to your guests, deck them out in lush centerpieces (3) of pink roses, tulips, peonies, and carnations. Or entire runners of fresh green leaves (5) with sweet pink blooms tucked amidst them. Complement these with blush-pink fabric napkins, rose-tinted glassware, and perhaps little pink and green nosegays to hold the guests’ place cards.

THE STATIONERY – And to tie everything together, consider floral or botanical-print patterns to appear throughout your wedding stationery—from your invitation suite (7) to ceremony programs, to escort and place cards, to the menu and buffet labels, to your wedding favor tags.

A spring wedding scene such as this is sure to bring you all back to the era of sweet romance. Just as these posts will, too!
