Orange wedding color palette

Orange is the color that makes a summer party truly come alive. Its vibrant and effervescent personality adds instant zest to any color palette. So for a summer wedding, why not consider orange for the unique flavor it will surely bring to your table settings, centerpiece arrangements, and favor packaging? The effect will be simply stunning!

This color’s many shades—from tangy Mandarin orange to elegant burnt orange—provide a wonderful array of possibilities. Just imagine the tropical vibe of orange blooms set against the verdant hue of foliage; a festive palette of olive green, red, and orange; or a sunny pairing of yellow and orange. Or what about the chic contrast of cool blue accented with hints of orange and green; or a surprising trio of orange, green, and fuchsia?

Exciting indeed, this orange! Dare to try it out for your wedding party? Here are our suggestions:

Selecting favors for a Caribbean-inspired wedding party? Just see how these sweet confections bring a ray of sunshine to a vibrant table setting. When paired against pretty leaves, these orangey soft chews are sure to not only please the palette, but the eye as well. Expect delighted smiles from your guests!

Italian Tuscan inspired wedding

Under a Tuscan sun, a table setting of organic elements decked in red, olive, and burnt orange sends out the word that this is one elegant al fresco style party. Centerpieces of romantic red roses set the scene, wrapped oh-so-prettily in organza to match the table décor. As a special treat for guests, these centerpieces are later taken home as luxurious party favors.

Jamaican themed wedding

Fruits and fruity colors take center stage at this Jamaican-themed event. With sunny-hued pineapples and bananas as accents, this tablescape practically transports you to the Caribbean, as vibrant orange is played off against hues ranging from banana yellow to olive green. Bright yellow (as seen in the pineapple-shaped card presented in a shell card holder) balances out the bold orange, as together they declare “Summer’s here!”

Cool rehearsal dinner table

For a truly inviting rehearsal dinner tablescape, a palette of cool skyblue with splashes of orange and green paints a tranquil scene indeed. Pretty petal sachets match the soft blue tablecloth, as varying shades of ivory echo the hues of sand and seashells. The orange is brought in most elegantly, using bromeliads set against green leaves and colored water in chic glass vases.

Favor presentation table

Just like a sun-drenched beach kissed by the ocean’s waves, a rainblow of colors with burnt orange combination turns any summer wedding setting into a festive beach-inspired scene. With fabrics in these wonderful colors, this bold yet elegant palette makes a statement first as table decor during the party, then as lovely mementos once taken home.

Yellow flower centerpiece

This striking centerpiece of vivid orange gerbera daisies and yellow oncidium orchids really brings on the color. The citrusy hues are carried on with actual lemons, oranges, and limes used as decor accents. Don’t be surprised if the flowers and fruits are all gone by the end of the party, though. Guests are sure to find them irresistible!

Orange, purple, and olive green. Do you think this is ok for fall? I’m torn as to what the bridesmaids should wear. Purple or orange?

Your bridesmaids can wear dark purple! It can still look elegant as long as it is in the right shade of purple. Check out the ideas from this orange and purple inspiration board post:

Help! My future MIL is not too keen on an orange and navy blue color palette because she is afraid that navy blue will make the wedding look too masculine. How do you address this with a hue of blue, but still matching orange. Thanks.

Why not consider aqua and orange! It’s a beautiful color scheme for a summertime wedding. This chic color combo would be perfect with ivory as a complementary color. Try ivory magnolias as your bouquet with a pretty a-line gown chiffon gown and then a wedding cake with a sweeping sash in orange or aqua!
