Christmas Marquee Signs to DIY
Prefer to take the hand-crafted route? Then, you’ll love these creative tutorials we discovered!
How clever are these DIY “Peace” marquee letters (1) by Laura’s Crafty Life, assembled from ready-made papier maché letters and mini-globe string lights? Or see what Jen of Fresh Crush created using foam-board letters, metal-finish spray paint, and string lights for this “Merry & Bright” Christmas marquee sign (2), with a thrift store painting for the background!
Another project made with spray-painted foam core is this Star marquee sign (3) via Home Depot – a striking way to brighten up your front door for the holidays. Another option we found over at Christmas Lights Etc. is to fashion a “Joy” DIY marquee sign (4) using ready-made wooden letters, your choice of paint or stain, plywood for mounting, and miniature globe light bulbs.
Would a modern look be more suited to your home? Consider this chic shadow box approach, courtesy of Home Depot, to make your DIY marquee light sign (5). Stencil-letter decals spell out the greeting on the glass, while mercury glass lights inserted through foam board create the marquee effect!
Finally, if a woodland or farmhouse Christmas is more your style, you must try this DIY rustic marquee holiday tree sign (6) from Lolly Jane. No words needed – just rough-grained plywood, painter’s tape to mark off the tree shape for painting, a drill, Christmas lights and you’re done!
