How to Host a Virtual Spring Baby Shower Tea Party

There couldn’t be a sweeter season than springtime to say hello to a coming bundle of joy! And with all the flowers in bloom by then, a garden-inspired tea party would be just the thing for a baby celebration.

But wait! Aren’t we stuck with virtual events for now? True, but don’t let that stop you from setting up a little party spot in your garden with tea sandwiches, sweets, and cups of tea. Then, have dear family members at home and friends join you online for a delightful Spring Tea Party Baby Shower!

Florals, greenery, pastel colors. Take inspiration from these symbols of the season to decorate your baby shower setting out in the garden—and to lay out a sweet and simple tea time menu.

Can’t gather together? You can still let your guests feel the love with Garden Flowers Long Distance Baby Shower Invitations (1) from Basic Invite. Just enclose details on how they can join you virtually come party day.

To double as an accent piece for your on-cam baby shower decor, home-bake or order a darling ruffled cake topped with flowers and bunting (2*). Prepare dainty, heart-shaped tea sandwiches (3*) filled with cheese, chicken salad, cucumber, and fruit jams. And of course, have piping hot tea poured into fun tea cups (4*) to serve your on-site guests! (*Images are from our own Bellenza styled sets.)

What about those only joining you virtually? Have them play along in a Baby Prediction Game (5) from Beau-coup, that lets guests fill in their guesses of the baby’s birth weight, hair color, and eye color on foil-printed cards (that you can enclose with their mailed invitations). Then, you can all show your cards on-cam and mail them back as shower souvenirs for the mom-to-be!

Finally, be sure to thank both your on-site and online baby shower guests with sweet favors. We suggest boxes of pastel-colored macarons (6), heart-shaped marshmallows tucked into floral favor sachets (seen at left of photo 6**), or flower-scented soaps in vintage-style pomander bags (7**). (**Both from the Bellenza SHOP.)
