Holiday DIY: Easy Thanksgiving Welcome Candlescape!
A holiday as major as Thanksgiving has so much going on, it’s easy to overlook a detail here and there. But you mustn’t forget a warm welcome for family members coming over. So we have this super-easy welcome display for your table entryway, using candles. You can whip it up in minutes. So even if you do forget and have to scramble on the day itself, no one will know!
What you will need:
- – 7 pillar candles in your choice of color
- – 2 sheets of colored construction paper or card stock
- – A pair of scissors
- – Straight pins, map pins, brads, decorative beads
- – A tray or something similar to display the candles on
3 easy steps:
- Cut out the letters for the word “Welcome” from the construction paper or card stock.
- Attach one to each pillar candle using pins or brads. Hint: For a decorative touch, pass the pin through a wooden or ceramic bead, or even a small autumn leaf, flower, or sprig of herbs.
- Arrange the candles on the tray or maybe a slab of wood or tree stump, a basket, or even your porch railing. Light them just as guests arrive.
Such a charming, simple way to start your Thanksgiving celebration!
