What you will need:

  • – 7 pillar candles in your choice of color
  • – 2 sheets of colored construction paper or card stock
  • – A pair of scissors
  • – Straight pins, map pins, brads, decorative beads
  • – A tray or something similar to display the candles on

3 easy steps:

  1. Cut out the letters for the word “Welcome” from the construction paper or card stock.
  2. Attach one to each pillar candle using pins or brads. Hint: For a decorative touch, pass the pin through a wooden or ceramic bead, or even a small autumn leaf, flower, or sprig of herbs.
  3. Arrange the candles on the tray or maybe a slab of wood or tree stump, a basket, or even your porch railing. Light them just as guests arrive.

Such a charming, simple way to start your Thanksgiving celebration!
