Glow in the Dark Halloween Favors You Can DIY!
For our recent post on glow-in-the-dark Halloween decorations, we found so many ‘bright ideas’ (literally!). So we had to come up with this second roundup, this time focusing on fun favors you can make for kiddie party guests or trick-or-treaters! Each cool and creative idea has that fascinating plus factor of lighting up—whether with the help of glow sticks, special paint, or secret ingredients for ‘glowing goodies’! For the easy how-to’s, just click on the links at the end of this post.
Fun with Glow Sticks
See what crafty minds have come up with to transform ordinary glow sticks into super-fun favors! You can turn them into Witches’ Broomsticks (1) by adding brown paper bag ‘bristles’ and packaging them with a bag of candy corn. You can empty their liquid into mason jars to create Pumpkin Jar Lanterns (5), bundle them in colorful sets with Halloween printables (8), or give them as Glow Bracelets (9) packaged with a printable card.
Or how cool are these Mini Monster Lanterns (10) made with glow stick liquid, little jars, and monster head erasers; or these Wiffle Balls (13) that kids will love playing with in the dark!
Treat Bags that Glow
Check out these creative ways to glow up bags, pouches, and buckets! You can use these as containers for take-home party treats, then the children can re-use them come Halloween night.
Take your pick! Cotton pouches (2) screen-printed with glow-in-the-dark paint, a ‘skeleton head’ bucket (3) wrapped in glowing duct tape, bags with inner pockets holding glow sticks (4), ones constructed from glow-in-the-dark Duck Tape™ (7) shaped around a cereal box, or ready-made treat bags with wiggly eyes (11) highlighted with glow-paint!
Eating ‘Light’
What a thrill to eat food that glows! Cotton candy swirled around glow sticks (6) is sure to have the kiddos on a sugar high. Or wow them with Ghost Cupcakes (12) that use ‘secret ingredients’ to get that ghoulish look under black light!

Hi Valerie. So nice of you to stop by! Also, thanks for leaving a comment on our FB page.
So many cute glow in the dark ideas. My youngest loves things that glow and I’ll have to share some of these crafts with her.
