A Sweet Soiree with Romantic Touches: A Parisian-themed Pre-Teen Party

Even for an 11 or 12 year old, Paris holds a special allure and magic. So a Parisian theme for your pre-teen daughter’s birthday celebration would probably have her cheering with delight! Picture it: a palette of girly pink and black (or chocolate brown), French-inspired sweet treats, frilly and feathery decorations, and favors that are prettily ‘Parisian.’ Here are some adorable ideas we found for pulling these all together in a sweet soiree just perfect for a pre-teen mademoiselle!

Parisian pink birthday party theme

1 – Set the ceiling decor in the most unique manner with these puffy pom poms made of tulle! See Frou Frou Fashionista for more details.

2 – Capturing that Parisian flair in your party accessories is key.  And printables make it so much easier! Just see this charming set from Paper Glitter that brings in all the right elements: graphics of the Eiffel Tower, French poodles, and flowers; striped patterns in pink and black; French phrases; and even a darling little passport card!

3 – A pretty venue for your party setting would be right in your garden. This lovely photo gallery we found on Project Nursery shows the tables decked out in pink and black, with DIY centerpieces made with manzanita branches, petite kissing balls, and mini feather boas. Tres chic indeed!

4 – For this age group, a stuffed toy favor would still be a huge hit! And what better toy to give than a pink French poodle, like this huggable cutie from Russ Berrie? You could have these seated on each little guest’s chair just waiting to welcome them!

5 – What little girl doesn’t just love sweet treats? So do have some Parisian-themed decorated cookies presented on a dessert table or packaged ready to take home! How chic are these ball gown-inspired ones seen via The TomKat Studio for a Barbie-inspired ‘glamour girl in Paris’ party.

6 – Dress up the party drinks, too! Printables like these from Mirabelle Creations’ etsy shop are a sweet and simple way to do this. Serve sparkling pink lemonade, for instance, in mini glass jars finished with girly labels and striped straws!

7 – Pre-teeners love to look their prettiest (though, some of them may deny it). So we were thrilled to find these adorable pocket mirrors you could give as favors! They’re from the etsy shop Stuck Together Magnets, and aren’t the poodle and other Parisian graphics just the cutest? Primp away, young ladies!

8 – Pink stripes, black bows, and a darling medallion-style monogram make this the perfect birthday cake for your little Parisienne! Featured on The Cake Blog, it was for a ‘fashion fairytale’ theme—which is pretty much what a Paris-inspired party is all about, right?
