Your little girl just loves the circus! So, to mark her birthday, look no further for a fun and fabulous party theme. Make it a Big Top bash!<\/strong><\/p>\n

The awesome thing about this theme is that you can play up the glitz and spectacle of a 3-ring circus with all the party details. From the welcome sign to the place settings to the dessert table to the party favors (look out for our upcoming posts on all these!), you can have loads of fun just while decorating. And taking center stage in all these, of course, is the party table centerpiece. So “step right up!” and see how we chose to craft a circus-themed centerpiece that a birthday girl, just like your little one, is sure to love.<\/p>\n

Assemble a Happy Hodge-podge of Colorful Elements<\/h2>\n

Decorating for a circus theme gives you the chance to pull whatever tricks you wish out of your “magician’s hat”! So for our centerpiece, you’ll notice that we went with an unconventional color palette and a playful mix-and-match approach for the decorative details.<\/p>\n

Start with Colors<\/strong> – We wanted a look that was whimsical and girly, without being too sweet nor too traditionally circus-y. So we chose fuchsia, purple, yellow, and blue.<\/p>\n

Add a circus animal cage<\/strong> – As a base for our centerpiece, we again wanted something beyond the ordinary vase, box, or basket. So we opted for a wire cage decorated to simulate those vintage-style circus animal cages. We even put a stuffed tiger inside it. And best of all, this cage is a fun project you can actually DIY<\/p>\n

Find the\u00a0cutest “birthday girl” doll<\/strong>\u00a0– What sweeter way to honor the celebrant than with a darling little dolly as the star of the centerpiece! We had her sitting pretty in a glitter-covered box on top of the circus cage, with the table-number pennant propped beside her. Moreover, we didn’t just stop with adding fun accessories.<\/p>\n

To play up the circus atmosphere even more, we\u00a0added ornate wooden figurines in the shape of a carousel horse and a trained elephant<\/strong>. These are actually decorative candlesticks, but we topped them with a few fresh flowers instead.<\/p>\n

Finish the scene with a glittering top hat<\/strong> – To add more interest to the scene, we couldn’t resist adding this colorful top hat covered in shimmering glitter.<\/p>\n
