How to accessorize a burgundy gown or dress? Here are our tips:

  • – If you’re aiming for a classic look, shoes in matte gold, taupe, or nude would work well. Or you may choose ivory shoes if your other accessories are in ivory, too
  • – For instance, you could have an ivory clutch bag, plus an ivory shawl or wrap for an elegant, understated effect.
  • – If you’d like a more monochromatic look using varied shades of burgundy, wine, or berry for your accessories, add visual and textural interest to these pieces with embroidery, bead work, lace overlays or appliques.
  • – To create a younger vibe, go for touches of contrasting colors like teal, burnt orange, or peach to pop against the deep burgundy. Imagine your bridesmaids’ bouquets in these colors. Fun!
  • – And for jewelry, metallic hues like copper, bronze, and gold would be most striking.
