A Wicked Witch-themed Bridal Shower This Halloween!

Green and black tablescape by Hitched Planning & Floral

Hoping to host a fun, rather than formal, bridal shower for your BFF? Well, having a holiday like Halloween right around your planned party date is a definite plus. Imagine being able to style the event a la the hit musical “Wicked” decked out in a chic palette of lime and black! That way you can still have an air of elegance (in black), while incorporating some lighthearted touches (in lime). Quick! Whip out that pointy hat and black cauldron and get your own decorating ideas brewing for a bewitching Halloween bridal shower!

Set a Witch-worthy Scene in Lime Green and Black

Move over orange! Lime is the chic new partner for black in this party setting. And these images we’re sharing prove how a touch of green here and there can liven up the somber details with frightful ease!

A lime green and black wicked themed bridal shower with a damask table setting, a whimsical cake, and black toffee poison apples!

Just look at that pop of freshness atop a ‘haunted house’ celebration cake! A single bold-colored bloom makes such a great visual statement.

For a buffet table of cheeses, crackers, and fruits, why not create a towering centerpiece of vari-sized pumpkins decked out in black and silver glitter—while a gauzy overlay simulates cobwebs. Your appetizers can bring in the bright green accents, while an eerie skulls-under-glass display provides an eye-catching backdrop!

Your table settings can start with classic black and white table cloths in damask, paisley, or even floral patterns. Then, add on chartreuse touches via fresh Granny Smith apples as place card holders (a nod to the apple-bearing witch in Snow White perhaps?). Plus centerpieces made with kermit mums, succulents, green cymbidium orchids, or simply lime-hued leaves.

For party drinks in green, too, serve up cocktails made with lime juice, green apples, creme de menthe liqueur, or tinted with green food coloring. Naming the concoctions to suit the witchy occasion could be a shower activity in itself!

Something sweet and green? How about candy coated popcorn presented in chic brown paper bags! You can give them as favors or as something to simply munch on during the party!

Finally, no bridal shower is complete without fun favors, right? Well, maybe these ‘poison apples’ we found may seem more frightful than fun. But don’t worry, they’re just green apples dipped in a toffee coating tinted with black gel coloring. Love the glossy finish!

Definitely an offbeat theme for a bridal shower party. Just hope it doesn’t scare off the groom!
