Woodland-inspired Winter Colors: White + Brown + Pine Green
Remember those quaint vintage Christmas cards from our childhood, showing a forest scene covered in snow and woodland creatures peering through the trees? Well, you can recreate it for your winter ceremony and reception with charming elements like these.
Give guests a preview of the delightful theme with wedding invitations printed on wood, then wrapped with a hand-drawn map on vellum paper tied with twine. Then, as you walk down the aisle, make a statement with a unique bouquet crafted with forest foliage and woodsy accents.
On your reception tables, create place settings and centerpieces that simulate a winter wonderland with “snowy” pompoms, origami trees, and tiny forest animals. On the side, set up a captivating winter wonderland dessert table displaying the goodies amidst birch tree branches, atop wood slice pedestals, all wrapped in a blanket of snow.
For the desserts, consider special themed treats like chocolate cheesecake Christmas trees, cookies dusted with powdered sugar, white macarons and meringues, white cotton candy, coconut cupcakes, white chocolate cake pops, crystal rock candy sticks, and more! While for your signature drink, why not a White Christmas Martini with sparkly sugared glass rims?
Finally, as wedding favors, give wintertime goodies and gifts in rustic burlap bags with darling holly-print tags. These ones hold homemade jams, but you could tuck in assorted nuts, holiday potpourri, hot cocoa mix, sets of wood-slice coasters, even DIY ornaments made from pine cones, acorns or gilded forest animals!
