Have we got a treat for you today. A truly heartwarming Romantic Rustic Farm Wedding all the way from Australia! It was shared with us by Bwedding Invitations (see vendor links at the end of post), which supplied the on-the-day stationery of the lovely couple, Cassie and Nathan. So for those of you eyeing country-themed nuptials at a rustic farm venue, be ready to take notes on all the charming details from this real wedding ceremony and reception!
Ceremony Photos Filled with Country Charm
Cassie’s words about the wedding style that they envisioned: “Country, timber, leafy green, perfect sunny day with blue skies.” The wedding photos that follow certainly show how that vision came true!
Nathan and Cassie met at a bonfire hosted by a mutual friend in June of 2013. A year and a half later, Nathan proposed—hiding the ring box inside a “surprise gift” of an iPad that Cassie had been wanting. Now, here they are on their wedding day!
The couple found the ideal venue at Belgenny Farm, located in Camden, New South Wales. The bride shared how they loved the farm with its beautiful “paved floor, vineyard, and beautiful trees outside where we could have photos.”
The gorgeous bouquets of the bride and her bridesmaids included succulents, a lot of greenery (do we spot eucalyptus and dusty miller?), and classic white roses.
How sweet are the lace dresses and floral crowns of the flower girls. Just the perfect country boho look to suit the farm wedding theme. Oh, and that vintage bridal car!
Bunches of baby’s breath tied with linen sashes make a dainty contrast with the rough wooden textures of the ceremony venue.
Another delightful contrast: the flower girls’ lace dresses and cowboy boots!
The newlyweds had their own pairs of boots for the wedding photos, too!
Rustic country venues often have quaint structures, like this weatherbeaten shed at Belgenny Farm, that make fabulous photo backdrops.
As we remarked above, there’s that vintage bridal car (oh, there are two of them!). Definitely an eye-catching element at a wedding, like Nathan and Cassie’s farm nuptials.
Reception Photos to Inspire Rustic Wedding Decor
This was an occasion with lovely DIY details that bore a personal touch. As Cassie explained, “My sister and I made the table numbers, Nathan cut the timber for the center pieces, also Nathan’s Nanna made my shawl to keep warm.”
At the reception, tables draped in white linens with burlap and lace accents, dainty bunting overhead, and fabric ties around wooden posts all create a vision of a romantic, rustic celebration. Plus, we see the lovely stone paving the couple mentioned.
Crystal globe ornaments suspended from overhead greenery add a surprisingly delicate touch. A perfect complement to the fairy lights glittering through sheer drapery.
As Cassie remarked, they had envisioned a wedding with “lots of greenery.” So, hanging all-foliage centerpieces above the tables was a creative way to dress up the wooden beams and galvanized iron sheets of the farmhouse ceiling.
A naked cake topped with fresh white flowers and trimmed with blueberries fit the farm theme just fine. Love that laser-cut cake topper with Mr. (heart) Mrs. Bangel.
And the couple’s table seating cards were wittily displayed on a rusty iron roofing sheet!
Round tables in all-white linens, lace and burlap trimmings, and kraft favor boxes created an invitingly elegant scene for the reception.
There are the wooden centerpiece bases that the groom himself cut, along with the wine-cork holders for the table numbers Cassie and her sister made. Notice, too, how the fish bowl vase of flowers is echoed in the globe-shaped votive holders.
Simple touches that work: kraft paper backing for the menu cards, tied on with jute twine; and matching little kraft boxes holding a thank you favor for each guest.
Another great idea for a farm wedding: a wood slice alternative guest book! Guests get to leave their thumbprints as “leaves” on the etched tree design using colored stamp pads (seen at left).
Instagram finds its way to the farm, too! A clever chalkboard sign reminds guests to use the proper hashtag when sharing their wedding snapshots.
Finally, a sparkler send-off for the happy couple! As Cassie revealed, “The whole day was just amazing. It went so fast, it felt like one small moment. We didn’t want to leave at the end of the night.”
Thank you again to Alyssa of Bwedding Invitations for sending this romantic rustic farm wedding our way. Our best wishes, too, to the bride and groom!
