Wedding Glam: Rose Gold with a Touch of Ombre Inspiration

Floral centerpiece with gold goblets

For fine jewelry, we all know that distinctive pinkish cast of rose gold. So we thought, wouldn’t it be fabulous to use this sophisticated hue as inspiration for combining three current wedding trends: blush, ombre, and metallics?  The result: an elegant, formal wedding setting with the opulence of gold softened by a tinge of pink. Think rose champagne and peachy peonies, with the sparkle of crystal and the glow of candles. In other words, a dream wedding setting that is the stuff of fairy tales!

Rose gold wedding ideas from wedding cake to shoes to bouquet to invitations

In creating this rose gold inspiration board, our vision was to create a fantasy scene that is part Southern wedding and part French royal ball!

For such a luxe affair, guests would have been primed with invitations addressed in rose gold calligraphy and bearing custom vintage-style stamps. The radiant bride would bear a bouquet with peach, rose, and blush blooms creating a lush ombre effect. And on her feet would be bridal shoes in a shimmery rose gold with rhinestone accents.

Guests would be ushered into an ornate dining hall decorated in blush tones, featuring a formal tablescape flanked by armchairs upholstered in dusty rose velvet. Chandeliers glisten overhead and a floral-pattern carpet lines the floor. Floral centerpieces, again in ombre tones, would grace the table along with pink-tinged crystal goblets; while gold flatware would set a positively royal air. And as a sweet finish to the formal reception, a romantic ruffle wedding cake and delicate rose gold macarons would be served—as a toast is made to the newlyweds with flutes of rose champagne!

  3. Hi Felicia! This is one of our favorite wedding-palette inspiration posts, too! The photo showing the stamps is attributed to the fabulous blog Snippet & Ink, but we couldn’t trace the actual post. Maybe you could Google “Audrey Hepburn postage stamps”!
