Such Great Centerpiece Ideas!

– Hurricane lamps are such versatile decorative pieces. In this post from Beth Proudfoot (a.k.a. It Is What It Is), they grace the Thanksgiving table with the simple addition of mixed nuts and white pillar candles inside. Plus, encircling orange-berried branches with a few votive holders. Change up the contents and decorations for any season!

– You’ve got to love this simple charmer we found on The Cilantropist! Just dig up a pretty container like a glass bowl, goblet, even a large mason jar or two. Then pile in a few pine cones, 3 or 4 fresh oranges (or apples or pears), and some colorful autumn leaves. And you’re done! Oh, and don’t miss the recipe for honey cornbread muffins in this post, too!

– Thanks to Shelterness, we have this stylish image of wheat sheaves bundled up and beribboned to inspire us. A great example of organic chic! No need for a container even, since the stalks are simply twisted to fan out slightly at the base, allowing the sheaves to stand smartly at table center. 4 – What to do with excess Halloween candy corn? Make a centerpiece! It’s too bad the link to the source Wish Special Events (found via Pinterest) is unavailable, but you can easily recreate this brightly-colored arrangement with a jarful of candy corn holding cheery orange and yellow daisies. Sure to bring on smiles!

– Here comes a hurricane lamp again! Crafted by My Heart’s Desire (found via Tidy Mom), this centerpiece’s fillings are fall-colored layers of split peas, red kidney beans, and popping corn poured in around an orange pillar candle. For a rustic finishing touch, a length of jute cord tied in a bow. Couldn’t get any easier!

– Tall glass cylinders are another great decorative must-have. House of Hepworths shows how a pair of them can be transformed into an elegant seasonal accent piece! Dress up white pillar candles with pretty leaves tied on with paper twine, perch them atop a bed of lentils filling the bottom of each cylinder, then arrange the pair on a tray of apples and more leaves.

– Talk about a fresh idea! Here’s centerpiece inspiration from A Subtle Revelry using a colorful array of actual fresh veggies from the fall farmers’ market. Choose a container to show these off to best advantage (Melanie here used wooden drawer dividers). Then just arrange the produce to wow your Thanksgiving guests!
