Rustic winter favors

– Did you ever imagine giving oak tree wedding favors? Well, it can be done—thanks to The Magnolia Company! These unique gifts each contain an already germinated oak seed nestled in a bed of moist moss, then packaged in a lovely pear green box tied with ivory ribbon. Care and handling instructions are included. How neat is that!

– Another heartwarming gift idea would be pine tree saplings. Perfect for the holiday season and truly a lifelong keepsake of your wedding! These caught our eye on My Wedding Reception Ideas (image via Nancy Gould Photography), snugly bundled up in their rustic burlap wraps.

– This jar of goodies, courtesy of Style at Home, holds gold-painted pine cones in place of the usual holiday treats. Which means your guests get a double favor: a reusable kitchen container plus some instant Christmas ornaments! Gotta love that!

– More pine cones! This time as a wedding motif suggested by Libby James blog, inspired by a post on Design Sponge. We picked up on this as a great favor idea, too! Imagine giving each guest a set of handstamped pine cone note cards—handstamped by you, of course!

– Wood bark-finish paper cones are such a versatile favor packaging option for a woodsy winter wedding. Just fill with your choice of treats and add matching tags. These cones are available from the etsy shop Sunshine and Ravioli (found via Wedshare, a.k.a. Pixel & Ink), along with a whole array of other handmade paper crafts sure to capture your hearts!

– How cute are these mini (2-inch high) moss plant gifts, styled by Chelsea Fuss of Frolic? So sweet and simple in their plaid fabric wraps, with wood chip name tags tucked in. Clearly usable as wedding escort cards, too, or even as a charming organic-style centerpiece when all grouped together!

– Quaint spoon herb garden markers. Yes, that’s what these are! Hand-flattened and hand-stamped, each set of 6 markers comes with your choice of herb seed packets from the etsy shop Harlow Lane. Whether or not you’re a gourmet chef or an herb gardener, you have to agree these are just adorable!
