With nature flaunting its autumn gorgeousness, fall bridal bouquets should do no less! So, although we’ve done other posts on fall bouquets and fall wedding palettes, we just couldn’t resist coming up with this one. This time, we\u2019re highlighting floral inspiration that\u2019s less about typical fall colors and more about texture. Rich, varied, fascinating texture!\u00a0So to all the autumn brides now designing your bouquets, prepare to be wowed by these unique and unusual floral creations.<\/span><\/p>\n It\u2019s a good thing you will be at your most radiant come your wedding day. Since a fabulous fall bouquet can be quite the scene-stealer\u2014especially one as gloriously styled as these finds we\u2019re sharing here!<\/p>\n Texture tip #1: Leaves to honor the season.<\/strong><\/p>\n An all-leaf bouquet<\/strong> would be perfectly in keeping with this time of year\u2014not to mention a major cost saver on your wedding budget! You could create that just-gathered-from-the-forest effect (also known as the \u2018foraged bouquet\u2019), combining leaves of contrasting colors and varied shapes (1)<\/strong>. Or assemble a stylish melange of greens, including succulents, eucalyptus, and silver brunia (5)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Texture tip #2: Fruits among the flowers.<\/strong><\/p>\n Want a whimsical addition to your autumn bouquet? Consider fruits in season<\/strong>, like the ever-popular apples (6)<\/strong>, pears, even kumquats. Then, of course, there\u2019s the festive look of berries<\/strong>. Lovely choices would be pepper berries, hypericum berries, porcelain vine berries, and snowberries, as well as wild blackberries and raspberries. Hhhmm, this tip is making us hungry!<\/p>\n Texture tip #3: Dare to use the show-stopping protea.<\/strong><\/p>\n Decades ago, this exotic bloom<\/strong> native to South Africa would never have been considered bridal bouquet material. But if you want to make a floral statement at your fall wedding, then proteas are a definite option. You could go with a tulip-like variety in a dusty pink (4)<\/strong> or the pincushion protea with its dozens of tiny \u2018pins.\u2019 The imposing King protea, meanwhile, can dominate a rustic-style arrangement (2)<\/strong> or else be carried as a solo-bloom bouquet.<\/p>\n Texture tip #4: Texture can be created visually, too.<\/strong><\/p>\n We love how even one basic hue, like white \/ cream \/ ivory (7) can be presented in various shades<\/strong>. The effect is still a textured one, but very elegant and sophisticated. You could so the same with deep, rich colors like burgundy, plum, and purple (3)<\/strong>; or woodsy tones like ochre, rust, and mustard. You could also use blooms or foliage that are textured<\/strong> themselves\u2014like brunia, craspedia (a.k.a. billy balls), dusty miller, cat tails, or seeded eucalyptus.<\/p>\n All this gorgeous floral inspiration has us even more convinced.
