Have you heard of the term \u2018rough luxe\u2019? Well, it was new to us, too, until we discovered this fabulous Stepford Wives<\/em>-inspired wedding shoot on the cool blog Rock My Wedding. Apparently, in the interior design world, this term refers to a style that combines a worn, unfinished, vintage look with rustic and industrial elements and materials.<\/p>\n

So the creative team for this shoot ran with this aesthetic as they presented 6 real brides as their models in stunning retro outfits, makeup and hairstyles. The focal point of the ladies\u2019 set was a gorgeous rustic rough-luxe tablescape, complete with hessian runners, mercury silver candle decorations, and sweet pea florals.<\/p>\n

Much as we\u2019d love to showcase the gorgeous dresses and accessories that the Stepford Wives<\/em> model-brides were decked out in, our focus here is the shoot\u2019s tablescape<\/strong>. Such a charming blend of luxe pieces and rustic textures and materials! As Charlotte herself of RMW describes it \u201cridiculously pretty, yet rough around the edges, all pinks, white, silver and natural fabrics.\u201d<\/p>\n

How right she is! And here are the table elements we just love:<\/p>\n

  1. a grouping of white honeycomb balls<\/strong> hanging overhead as sweet and simple ceiling decor<\/li>\n
  2. a hessian table runner<\/strong> with the ends gathered with dainty rose-embroidered ribbon<\/li>\n
  3. vases and vases of frilly, fragrant sweet peas<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. mercury silver candle holders, bud vases<\/strong> and place card holders<\/strong>\u2014all contributing to the \u2018rough luxe-esque\u2019 look<\/li>\n
  5. chair decor<\/strong> featuring yarn tie-backs finished with a single bud vase<\/li>\n
  6. strips of hessian bundling the cutlery sets<\/strong> together<\/li>\n
  7. single blooms<\/strong> tied to each napkin with pink and white yarn<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Other delightful decorative touches on the set:<\/p>\n
