Who loves a sweet, little brunch? Raise your hands. We thought so! Everybody<\/em> loves brunch. So, what a treat it was for us to stumble upon this oh-so-inviting engagement brunch<\/strong> styled by Wilmara Manuel<\/strong>, owner and principal stylist of Madly Stylish Events<\/strong><\/em>. The star of the occasion was clearly the food (aside from the engaged couple, of course)! And how wonderful was it that the sweet and savory treats were all prepared by the sister and mom of the groom-to-be, with help from friends.<\/p>\n

\"Engagement<\/p>\n

Just check out the full brunch menu that Wilmara describes: “a bagel bar with various cream cheeses, lox, onions, and tomatoes; mini pancakes; yogurt and granola parfait; sausage egg frittata; maple bacon; French toast casserole; and banana, zucchini, and lemon poppy bread.”<\/p>\n

“For our dessert table, we had a trifle bar with strawberry, chocolate cake, and tiramisu trifles. We rounded it up with a donut cake and brownies.”<\/p>\n

Just reading that made us wish we’d been invited!<\/p>\n

Details of the Pretty Presentation<\/h2>\n

What makes this spread even more irresistible is the way Wilmara displayed the scrumptious food items. Wedding party planners, take note!<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. The yogurt and granola parfaits<\/strong> are set out on a fancy tiered stand decorated with dangling crystals.<\/li>\n
  2. The trifle bar<\/strong> offers three flavors, with their pretty colors showing through clear bowls and festive golden yellow balloons hovering above.<\/li>\n
  3. The pancakes<\/strong> are stacked four high and held in place with decorative wooden skewers. Some are also displayed on an ornate metal stand probably intended for cupcakes or even candles.<\/li>\n
  4. The donut cake<\/strong> is topped with pink, ivory and chocolate-colored fondant roses by Edible Details<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  5. Even the already well-loved brownies<\/strong> are each topped with a single fondant rose bud.<\/li>\n
  6. Candy treats<\/strong> like crystal rock candy and white and dark chocolate pops are simply displayed in clear glass jars, with a white pompom alongside for accent.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Isn’t it a great idea having such delicious-looking party fare, that they serve as the decorations themselves? All you need to add are pretty stands, racks, serving platters, and glass containers to show them off to best advantage.<\/p>\n

    Then, not to forget that this is after all an engagement celebration, Wilmara also created a striking backdrop of paper flowers<\/strong> on the wall behind the \u201cwell wishes\u201d table. Plus, she prepared a wishing tree<\/strong> of bare branches, plus paper leaf cutouts on which guests could write their wishes for the couple, then hang these on the wishing tree.<\/p>\n
