We\u2019d love to hear from you, too!<\/p>\n<h2>Is it okay to request your bridesmaids to choose and pay for their own dresses?<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Yes IF&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>They are your family members or long-time friends who would understand.<\/li>\n<li>You are honestly on a tight wedding budget and can be candid about it.<\/li>\n<li>There are practical constraints like how to have fittings if your bridesmaids are from out of town or overseas.<\/li>\n<li>You assure them they may choose a style that flatters them, as long as it\u2019s in the right color.<\/li>\n<li>You suggest dress vendors or outlets that offer lovely choices at great prices (see our dress picks below).<\/li>\n<li>You offer the option of dress rental to keep their cost down (example: Rent the Runway).<\/li>\n<li>The wedding is on short notice with a time frame of less than 3 months to plan.<\/li>\n<li>Your schedule makes it impossible to coordinate the purchasing process.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>What about you? Shorter lengths tend to cost less, plus they can be worn at various occasions.
