Just seeing the words \u2018backyard\u2019 and \u2018brunch\u2019 already gave us a good feeling about this bridal shower we\u2019re about to feature. And when we saw the lovely photos of this intimate, at-home gathering planned and hosted by Stacey of Birds of the Feather <\/a>for her family\u2019s (now) sister-in-law, we were completely won over! We just knew this would have to be part of our Fabulous Feature<\/a> series.<\/p>\n

Lovely Details You Have to See<\/h2>\n

What makes this bridal shower brunch<\/a> so special, we feel, is nothing over-the-top or perfectly polished or extravagant. In fact, it\u2019s precisely the personal touches and lovingly planned details\u2014mismatched though they are, DIYed, and in some cases borrowed\u2014that spell \u2018fabulous\u2019 in our opinion!<\/p>\n

\"backyard<\/p>\n

Highlights of the party that are worth noting:<\/p>\n

– lovely place settings combining gold chargers and gold-rimmed plates <\/strong>with cute \u2018bowtie\u2019 napkins hiding the cutlery tucked in on the reverse
\n– cards spelling out the bride-to-be\u2019s name<\/strong>, for guests to write words or phrases starting with each letter
\n– a cheery floral table runner<\/strong> matching the centerpieces that featured an assortment of tin cans wrapped with doilies, mason jars, floral garlands, tea candles, and tissue flowers in varying shades of pinks, whites, and greens
\n– on the place settings, napkins were arranged like pretty bow ties <\/strong>
\n– tree garlands<\/strong> of pink and purple tissue paper flowers hanging overhead
\n– on the brunch buffet table<\/strong>: a yummy selection of spinach, sausage, and cheese quiches; assorted home-baked muffins; bite-size sandwiches, and fresh fruits in a watermelon basket
\n– for dessert<\/strong>: strawberry shortcake served in individual sorbet cups<\/p>\n
