Raise your beer steins to this creative theme for a wedding rehearsal dinner—Oktoberfest! Just the thing for your late September to early October wedding date if you are of German heritage (or even if not). With popular Oktoberfest decor, traditional German snacks, dishes, and beers, even customary German attire for the bride- and groom-to-be, this would be such a fun spin on the usual pre-wedding run-through. Here are fresh ideas to get your planning brewing. “Prost!” (*this post contains affiliate links)

German-inspired Elements for an Oktoberfest Rehearsal Dinner

"Oktoberfest

Let your bridal party members know what fun awaits them, with Oktoberfest-themed rehearsal dinner party invitations (1 – via Zazzle) like these.

Greet them at the venue with a Biergarten welcome sign (7 – by Courtney Sixx, via Martha Stewart Weddings). Then, lay out each table setting (2 – via Savor Paradise) with charming Oktoberfest accessories, including a centerpiece in a Bavarian-style beer stein (2 – via Savor Paradise) and a framed Oktoberfest menu (3 – via The Knot). For light “beer garden” fare, treat guests to a DIY Oktoberfest pretzel stand (4 – Cafe Pierrot), featuring soft pretzels with a beer cheese dip (6 – from PS Seasoning & Spices). Plus a dessert table (5 – Cafe Pierrot) displaying a fully decorated Oktoberfest cake.

Keep the guest favors in theme, too. Think wooden bottle openers (8 – by Courtney Sixx, via Martha Stewart Weddings) mounted on bottles of vintage beer.

"How

Then, for fitting refreshments, set up a rustic beverage station (9 – via Pinterest) offering a variety of German beers. Bags of pretzels trimmed with Oktoberfest favor tags (10 – via Amazon) and playful “Kiss Me, I’m German” buttons (12 – via Zazzle).

Finally, for great souvenir shots with the bridal party, the bride can change into a German dirndl dress (11 – via Amazon) and the groom can don traditional Bavarian leather pants (13 – via Amazon). A fun way to remember this Oktoberfest-themed occasion!
