How lucky can a couple be to have a wedding venue just oozing with character! This is exactly the case with this gorgeous neo-vintage wedding<\/strong> we stumbled upon on the lovely boutique blog Whimsy Decor<\/strong>. Blog and boutique owner Traci showcased how she and the bride and groom took advantage of the many charms of this \u2018tudor revival style estate.\u2019 And then decorated with vintage-inspired elements that looked as though they were an original part of the venue. We were totally smitten!<\/p>\n

Overall Decor for the Venue<\/h2>\n

\"Neo<\/p>\n

The manor itself was the oh-so-romantic backdrop to the entire occasion. Lovely casement windows, arched doorways, tiled floors, rich wood panelling. So, Traci\u2019s photos show her styling choice of combining rustic burlap, twine, and raffia with dainty lace, vintage fabrics, and doilies<\/strong>. Utterly charming and shabby chic!<\/p>\n

Then, note the vintage-inspired pieces she and the bride added for a touch of whimsy (living up to her boutique name, of course!):<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. burlap bunting<\/strong> with the bride and groom\u2019s names<\/li>\n
  2. a black vintage suitcase<\/strong> used as a chalkboard sign<\/li>\n
  3. free-standing columns to hang the escort cards<\/strong> on, with a top hat-wearing dressmaker\u2019s form alongside<\/li>\n
  4. bric-a-brac, old books, globes, and framed family photos<\/strong> filling built-in shelves<\/li>\n
  5. a vintage typewriter<\/strong> and an old wooden card box<\/strong> for guests to leave their notes and wishes<\/li>\n
  6. random pompoms, pinwheels, bits of lace and doilies\u2014with a scattering of raffia here and there<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    For the reception area, this same rustic-vintage aesthetique was carried through. As Traci explains, the head table and each guest table were decorated in a slightly different way. The delightful details that caught our eye are:<\/p>\n

    1. floral-patterned china<\/strong>, vintage glassware<\/strong>, mini milk glass vases<\/strong>, even crystal salt and pepper shakers<\/li>\n
    2. the charming \u201cHitched\u201d banner<\/strong> on the couple\u2019s table<\/li>\n
    3. the monogrammed burlap runner<\/strong><\/li>\n
    4. vintage tins<\/strong> holding lovely wildflower-style centerpieces<\/li>\n
    5. \u2018neo\u2019 touches slipped in like menu cards<\/strong> with trendy striped borders and napkin rings<\/strong> trimmed with buttons<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      A Gorgeous Sweets Table for Guests<\/h2>\n

      Even the desserts display<\/strong> was a neo-vintage sight to behold! Isn\u2019t that shabby chic style dresser<\/strong> just to die for? With that as the showcase piece, the rest (including the sweets themselves) followed suit:<\/p>\n

      1. a delectable assortment of cookies, cupcakes, and pie<\/strong> all \u2018in color\u2019 in shades of ivory, brown, and beige\u2014and all prepared by the family, take note!<\/li>\n
      2. gorgeous cake stands<\/strong> in white ceramic, amber glass, and crystal<\/li>\n
      3. tiered pastry trays<\/strong> and dome-covered glass cake stands<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
