Ah, the irresistible sight of a crystal blue pool at the peak of summer! That was the instant appeal of this blue and lime green bridal shower designed by Sarah of Lucy Betty<\/strong> for a dear family friend. Such a crisp and refreshing scene\u2014right in their own backyard! And as with most of the celebrations we feature, the table settings and party decorations are so wonderfully doable, you\u2019re bound to find yourself exclaiming, \u201cHey, I can do that!\u201d And you certainly can!<\/p>\n Sarah described the key table elements they prepared\u2014like the gerbera daisy centerpieces<\/strong> that they transferred from clunky clay pots to silver julep vases (re-used from her sister\u2019s wedding), the \u201cdiamond\u201d napkin accents<\/strong> from Dollar Tree, and the shower favors<\/strong> that were Vera Bradley notepads each wrapped with a personalized card.<\/p>\n But we also noted how the use of patterned blue-and-white table overlays<\/strong> allowed the hosts to keep the place settings very simple. Plus of course these provided a \u2018summer resort\u2019 vibe that made us long to take a dip in the pool ourselves, simply from seeing the photos!<\/p>\n How lucky was it that Sarah\u2019s mom had actually won a candy buffet<\/strong>. And isn\u2019t it sweet that they used the prize for this bridal shower? So the guests were treated to an eye-catching array of sweets in aqua and lime green<\/strong>: from peeps on platters of white coated almonds, to swirly pops, to gumballs, to blue jelly beans, to hanging rock candy sticks!<\/p>\n To dress up the party scene, Sarah\u2019s sister used a Cricut machine to craft this sweet banner<\/strong> with the bride\u2019s and groom\u2019s names. They also spray-painted giant letters bought at Hobby Lobby and hung these alongside the candy buffet with green striped ribbon. They even cleverly re-used tissue pompoms<\/strong> (again from their sister\u2019s wedding) and suspended them from shepherd\u2019s hooks around the poolside garden!<\/p>\n What totally charms us about this bridal shower is how Sarah and her family made creative use of available resources: a fabulous pool and garden, once-used wedding decorations, and personal crafting skills.
