Easy Holiday Party DIY: Glitter and Beads Table Number and Centerpiece
Combining elements to serve double duty on your party tables is a great decorator’s trick. Like this quick and easy holiday table number and centerpiece in one! All the materials are inexpensive, easy to find, and a breeze to assemble. Plus you get to save on flowers because each bead-covered number serves as a bloom itself! Curious? Here’s how it works.
Materials you will need:
– numbers cut out of heavy cardboard or chipboard
– glass beads or sequins in 2 or 3 shades of red
– crafting glue
– faux rose stalks with the roses removed (don’t worry, you can put them back on later for future party needs!)
– small vases or pots
– stuffing material (tissue paper) and florist’s moss
Crafting the ‘blooming’ table numbers:
- Brush each cardboard number with crafting glue. Then cover it entirely in beads or sequins, shaking off any excess.
- Repeat the process with the remaining numbers. Let them dry thoroughly.
- Stand a rose stalk in each vase or pot, using the tissue paper stuffing to hold it upright. Cover the stuffing with a layer of moss.
- Position a pot on each party table, and perch a beaded table number at the top of each stalk. If some numbers threaten to fall off, add a dab of glue to the surrounding leaves and stems to keep them in place.
Ta da! Your combined table numbers and centerpieces! Now, how easy is that?
