A Tropical-inspired Dessert Buffet in Coral, Peach and Silver

What makes this display work? Here’s what we noticed:

As always, keeping within a chosen palette is key! And Lima Limao chose a truly striking array of warm colors: coral, salmon, old rose, and peach—set against white with highlights of silver.

The stars of the display were, of course, a fabulous three-tier birthday cake in silver and white, surrounded by peach-tinted macarons, cake pops trimmed with flowers, and cupcakes with flower toppers, too.

The scene had a tropical feel to it as well. Notice the lush arrangements of orchids, figurines of macaws and, as an artful backdrop, metal sculptures of nautilus shells mounted in wall recesses behind the buffet.

To add sparkle to the occasion, a glistening sequined table cloth, plus silver trays and crystal pastry stands reflect the light of candles perched on upturned goblets. And hovering overhead are giant silver balloons announcing the “big 3-0”!

Thank you to Lima Limao for this glamorous inspiration for a grownup celebration. You must stop by their site to admire other lovely events—from baby showers and christenings to children’s and adult parties to bridal showers and weddings. You’ll love what you see!
