Craft Your Own Homemade Pumpkin Favors!
1 – What could be more ingenious than wired mini pumpkins used as place card holders! Made with magnet wires that you can obtain from a hardware store, these little creations will definitely have guests talking about your creativity! Find this clever tutorial at These Little Loves.
2 – Pumpkins gone wild! That’s how Tracy of Tracy’s Trinkets and Treasures dubbed these striking accent pieces she crafted (tutorial included) using artificial pumpkins, faux flowers, leaves, and berries, and tada! leopard print tissue paper! Sure to be a conversation starter at your reception, these can be made with different prints of tissue paper (just imagine the different looks you can create) and then serve as eye-catching fall decorations in your guests’ homes.
3 – These rustic fabric pumpkins are such charmers! Found on Craftster.org, they’re sewn from fabric scraps, tapestry wool as thread, some stuffing, and a few twigs. The DIY how-to looks so simple, even we could make dozens of these to give away. They could be the place card holders at your party, then be used as sweet little pincushions afterwards—or maybe as drawer fresheners when sprayed with a bit of eau de cologne!
4 – Glammed up with glitter is another option to really get those pumpkins noticed! To ensure best results, Casa Sugar (via Modernly Wed) shares tips beyond the basic procedure of “apply glue and dust with glitter.” Apparently, real pumpkins in varying sizes were used for this project. But artificial may even be better, so guests can keep these pumpkin mementos for quite a while. As what? Paper weights might be a good use for these, glitzy ones at that!
5 – Yarn, felt, and buttons. Three craft-lover’s reasons to be smitten with these whimsical pompom pumpkins brought to us by Crafts Unleashed. You could make a whole pile of these into your party centerpiece, then let each guest take one as they leave. Oh, we almost forgot…the pumpkin stems are actually cinnamon sticks. That makes four reasons to love this fall craft!
So hard to pick a favorite from these five. Which pumpkin favor idea won your heart?
These are all really cute!!
