Once Halloween and Thanksgiving have zoomed past, Christmas will be upon us. So, believe it or not, we’ve got a holiday party feature for you—three months early!
As promised, we’ve been keeping our eyes open for possible “cross over” celebration ideas on our favorite non-wedding blogs that would be fabulous for weddings, too! And one of our definite blog favorites is Pure Joy Events, where the wonderfully creative Christine Kantaporn works her party styling magic!
So, we’re thrilled to be sharing Christine’s Peppermint Holiday Party with you. We just love the festive red-and-white palette and the whimsical handmade decorations! We can definitely see these applied to a Christmas-time engagement dinner, bridal shower, or rehearsal party with a sweet, nostalgic feel.
Thank you, Christine, for all the party inspiration you give your readers—not just during the holidays, but also all year round!

These great pics from Pure Joy Events sparked some fun ideas for how couples-to-be might decorate their own yuletide season wedding socials. So, start thinking peppermint!
A Christmas centerpiece made from a bunch of bare twigs gets all festive decked out in darling handmade ornaments. From “peppermint balls” to monogrammed ones—that can display the initials and the wedding date of the happy couple, perhaps?
Decorating with felt is not only ultra-charming, it’s also super-easy! Just cut (no hemming needed), stitch, and glue—and you have these cute ornaments. Visit the original post for links to felt ornament tutorials shared by Christine.
Such an adorable gingerbread house! If you’ll be hosting a bridal shower party, you could even get the guests to decorate their own little houses—peppermint swirls, candy canes, and all! A sentimental visit to childhood Christmases past.
You can craft your own candy cane flags with witty (or mushy) sayings like: “Hooked on you!” “Quick, to the mistletoe!” “Peppermint passion,” or “You’re sweeter than candy!”
More peppermint—this time, crushed and sprinkled on top of chocolate ganache-frosted brownie bites. Yum! Popped into bright red cupcake liners, these goodies become part of the party décor, too.
For a real wow effect, take a cue from Christine and display your holiday sweets on an eye-catching peppermint dessert stand. Take note, she made this charmer herself—and you can, too! See her easy tutorial.
