The 4th of July is such an iconic holiday that planning a wedding around it can be a real blast (pun intended)! And definitely your wedding favors should celebrate the patriotic theme as well. So here are 4 great options for your favor packaging in all their red-white-and-blue glory. Whether you’re giving edibles, beverages, or gift items, there’s sure to be something here to ‘spark’ your imagination!
July 4th Favor Ideas for a Gazebo Wedding Reception
Our own July 4th wedding set had a delightful venue, a garden gazebo complete with white painted railings and lattice work. Perfect inspiration for patriotic favor packaging—sporting the beloved Stars and Stripes!

Super-simple and snappy! All you need are white paper bags, red ribbon, and great 4th of July printable tags (there are amazing ones available on the web). Just tuck in edible treats like home-baked cookies, muffins, assorted candies and Cracker Jacks, or your favorite trail mix. And they’re good to give!

Speaking of easy packaging, this has got to be it! Clear cello bags allow the fun fillings to be part of the decorative look. Think cookies shaped like stars or flags, or pretzel sticks dipped in white chocolate with red and blue sprinkles. Just tie shut with red checked ribbon and patriotic tags. Ta-da!

Nothing like serving ice-cold beer at a sunny July 4th event. You can even provide a special wedding brew that the bride and groom enjoy! Have galvanized iron buckets brimming with ice to hold bottles for guests to enjoy. Or set up a beer bar. Then, have extra bottles as take-home favors—dressed up in customized labels, plus bands of star-patterned paper.
Note: This packaging would work for other bottled favors, too, like BBQ sauce, hot sauce and salsa, fruit juices, ginger ale, or the all-American Coca-Cola!

If you plan to give odd-shaped favor items—like maybe packets of mini-sparklers, American Eagle paper weights, or vintage baseballs—fabric wraps are just the thing! Choose those in blue or red, then simply bundle up the gifts to grace each guest’s plate.
As you can see, sending guests home with Americana-inspired favors need not be overly fancy or costly. Just add patriotic touches to the packaging, and your July 4th wedding theme is complete!
