Fabulous Feature: A Minimalist Valentine’s Table by Stylizimo

A fresh and modern Valentine's table setting

The minute we saw this post on the Norwegian blog Stylizimo, we were smitten! Like a breath of fresh air and soft beams of sunshine, it just brightened up our view of what a Valentine’s Day table setting can look like! Nina Holst is the founder of the Stylizimo home decoration community, and her clean, minimalist sensibility permeates every post. As Nina has styled it, a Valentine’s table can be bright, uncluttered, whimsical, and utterly charming. Take a look!

This table setting is a perfect example of sweet simplicity. Individually, each element is actually quite commonplace and can be found in every home. Or they can be crafted with available materials and minimal crafting skills. But when assembled in this way, the total effect is just so friendly and refreshing!

These are the details that won our hearts (it is Valentine’s, after all!):

1 – the pristine white place settings tied up with twine
2 – the kraft paper envelopes (perfect for tucking in a sweet message) decorated with butterfly-stamped hearts
3 – the clothes pins decorated with flowery washi tape
4 – the matching washi tape flaglets on the glass stems
5 – the “you and me” Scrabble tiles
6 – the simple arrangement of pussy willows
7 – the darling “love and luck paper boat garland

And what we love just as much is how you can recreate this setting with whatever similar (or even different) items you may have on hand! In fact, that’s precisely what Nina herself wrote: “Take whatever you have and make a romantic theme out of it.”

See the original post here and do pay a visit to the Stylizimo blog itself. It’s such a refreshing and inspiring experience!
