Inspiration for a Modern Winter Wonderland Wedding!

Modern fairytale wedding inspiration from a towering wedding cake to a reception turned into a winter wonderland scene in pretty white florals.

– A designer gown – Nothing less than an haute couture creation will do for a fairy tale wedding dress! So this ‘Snow Queen-esque’ stunner in shimmery fabric, rosettes, and feathers from the Chanel 2012 winter collection caught our eye, via Vogue.

– A furry muff – More than the traditional bridal gloves, a cozy, warm muff of faux white fur would suit the snowy setting. As suggested on LDS Bride, this could even be a stylish alternative to a floral bouquet!

– A towering cake – This breathtaking creation by the Sylvia Weinstock is truly something out of a storybook fantasy! Image via Wedding Wire.

– Princess-worthy pumps – Cinderella’s glass slipper would have nothing on these Christian Louboutin crystal-encrusted suede pumps we found via Glamour. Pricey, but this is a fairy tale, right?

– Invitations with a hint of bling – A jeweled accent like a pearl or crystal brooch or button would add a glitzy 3D element to an all-white invitation suite. Take this elegant example from The Newly Engaged.

– Sparkly mini florals – Love this idea of petite bunches of roses in silver julep cups topped with a dove cutout. In fact, we love everything about the winter wedding shoot this came from on Something Pretty! Photography by She Wanders Photography.

– A frosty bouquet – Of course, your bridal bouquet should be a pristine white arrangement. But like this stunning example via Perfectly Posh Events, using dusty miller leaves adds a frosty look perfect for a wintertime wedding.

– Snowy candy apples – Even the well-loved candy apple can get all glammed up for a winter wedding with a coating of white chocolate and coconut flakes. Presented as Halloween treats on Country Living, they could certainly pass for ‘snowy,’ don’t you think?

– Table settings all a-sparkle – Get that glittery shimmer courtesy of silver sequinned table cloths as seen on Style Me Pretty with styling by Simply Fabulous Events and Design. Then, add dreamy centerpieces of baby’s breath and a scattering of faux snow.

– All-white reception scene – Here is one occasion when monochromatic white is perfect for your reception decor. Simply up the enchantment factor with candles, chandeliers, and hundreds of fairy lights, as in this styling by Bardin Palomo (photo credit: Javier Gomez) via Bridal Guide.

– A floral wedding arch – Another find via Bridal Guide, this is such a romantic frame for your walk down the aisle, covered in all-white blooms. Graceful drapery and dozens of hanging lights add even more to the magic!
