We are so thrilled to share with you some amazing inspiration for autumn weddings, focusing on the fabulous florals available this season. The source of all this gorgeousness is FTD Fresh, the floral experts who graciously reached out to us with their post on mood boards for fall centerpieces. While their intent was to inspire your Thanksgiving table decor, we saw how these would be perfect for Fall Wedding centerpieces as well! Come and be smitten by the creations they showcase, while we suggest what wedding theme they would be ideal for.
FTD’s Fall Floral Mood Boards: How We See Them for Your Wedding!
Aside from sweeping us away with the centerpieces they presented, FTD also provided such thorough information on the flowers, foliage and sometimes fruit used (available in their full post). So we took our cue from all these to link them to themes you might be having for your autumn nuptials.

Orange is so evocative of fall and it is presented creatively with a mix of densely-petaled ranunculus, a kumquat branch and sprigs of crocosmia. For even more texture and a hint of fragrance, mint leaves and jasmine vines are used as greenery. While a brass urn serves as a distinctive vase.

Such a sophisticated combination of florals and foliage with a wide range of soft to spiny textures and pastel to harvest colors—a true celebration of the season! The star of this arrangement is the large Semi-cactus Dahlia, surrounded by fillers like blue Sea Holly, delicate Queen Anne’s Lace, tiny Spray Roses, “Baby Blue” Eucalyptus and dried Ornamental Grass. A simple wooden box planter sets off all these perfectly.

The “Dinnerplate” Dahlia takes center stage in this stylish arrangement, along with Marigolds and Ball Dahlia—all in glorious autumn hues. The chic horizontal design is created with artful use of greenery courtesy of a Live Oak Branch and assorted fall leaves. A copper or brass pitcher echoes the color scheme just so.

Centerpiece as table runner—that’s the creative approach of this tablescape idea! Thick, dual-toned magnolia leaves provide the base for brightly colored Chrysanthemums, Persimmons and Globe Amaranth running the length of the table. And we love how these are interspersed with candles, condiment and candy dishes, and cheese and nut plates!

Certainly a show-stopper, this arrangement of Decorative Dahlias, Tuberoses, Hydrangea and Seedy Amaranth get a burst of color and “wildness” from berry-filled branches of Fire Thorn. Having all these balanced in a tall-stemmed bowl adds to the sense of movement and drama.

Talk about lush, rich and exotic! Here wild blackberries and pomegranates are on display along with dramatic Proteas, classic Calla Lilies, Elephant Head Amaranth and pink Pepperberries. Using fall berries and fruits brings in the deeper colors of the season, while the cascading style of this arrangement seems to symbolize autumn’s abundance. Love that carved wooden pedestal, too!
