For your wedding rehearsal dinner, why settle for a ho-hum gathering that you could have any other time? This is the night before the biggest day of your lives! So we suggest hosting an enjoyable themed party, to help everyone relax and unwind amid the pre-wedding stresses. And we must say we’re quite thrilled with the theme options we found. Come have a look!
Think Beyond a Ho-Hum Sit-Down Party!
1 – Bowling alley bash – Your rehearsal dinner need not be an at-home affair. It can be a casual get-together at a bowling alley! Inspiration came from this feature in the Orlando Informer on full-service dining and entertainment right in a retro-style bowling center.
2 – Tropical isle luau – If you’ll be tying the knot at a Hawaii destination spot or other tropical locale, why not have an exotic luau dinner like this one captured by Valentyne Photography? Complete with tiki torches, coconut treats, leis, and maybe even some hula dancers! Then, you can save the classic reception for your wedding day itself.
3 – Summer BBQ picnic – You could go with an American classic and a huge summertime favorite: a bbq picnic. Lay out a tempting spread with goodies to grill, plus all the fixins, with cheery checkered napkins and fun signs—as shown on Mad Woman’s To Do List.
4 – Vineyard theme – For a romantic Tuscan feel, you could choose a nearby vineyard location (or recreate the feel of one), as in this image credited to Makini Regal Designs via Wedding Wire. Set up an oak barrel to serve wine from and an outdoor table setting for guests to enjoy al fresco dining.
5 – Spring garden party – If your dinner will take place in the spring, why not make flowers and food the stars of your table? We fell in love with this lavish lakeside tablescape styled by Santa Barbara Chic—so visit the full post for the fabulous inspiration!
6 – Fiesta theme – Want a fun theme with the flair of a Spanish/Mexican fiesta? Then, take your cue from the LB Anderson blog (image via Rehearsal Dinner Guide). String up some papel picado bunting and dress up the chairs with colorful ribbon streamers, and you’re ready to party!
7 – Country picnic theme – You can’t get more heartwarming and homey than a country-style picnic, like this one from Inspired by This (image via Rehearsal Dinner Guide). Set this up in your own backyard and serve home-baked dishes and desserts. A charming prelude to your Big Day!
So many fun themes to choose from, right? But whichever one you go for, we wish you a wonderful rehearsal dinner and wedding day!
