Crazy About Cranberry + Golden Yellow: Fall Wedding Palettes

Cranberry and gold colors for fall weddings

Here we go! The second post of our series on Fabulous Fall Wedding Palettes. We’re featuring a lush combo of cranberry and golden yellow that is just the thing for a rustic wedding with a touch of boho. With shiny scarlet cranberries being at their peak from October to December, these make a perfect color inspiration for the season. Their bold hue adds flair to the more typical yellow tones of autumn. And together, what a striking statement they create!

Go Rustic-Boho with Cranberry + Golden Yellow

With nature already celebrating the season in all its glorious colors, there’s no need to be shy with your wedding palette. As the images we found show, there are many ways you can deck out your ceremony and reception in this pairing of cranberry and golden yellow.

Showcase them on your wedding stationery. Announce the look and feel of your upcoming nuptials with these colors worked into your invitation design. Then, continue them on to your ceremony programs, your escort cards, place cards, menus, table numbers, and favor tags.

Dress your bridal party in them. The rich berry red of cranberries will make your bridesmaids’ dresses real standouts at the ceremony. And you could carry matching bouquets of crimson blooms with touches of yellow, echoed in your flower girls’ baskets and the florals along the aisle.

– For the gentlemen, crafty-type boutonnieres would be just the thing with textured elements like tiny berries, seeds, sprigs of wheat or grass, combined with felt cutouts, and tied with sisal twine or a strip of burlap.

Use actual fruit to decorate your reception. Take advantage of the abundance of cranberries this time of year, and use their natural color as a decorative accent in itself! Serve a sparkling cranberry tea cocktail with slices of lemon as garnish, bringing in the partner color yellow…naturally! Or top a rustic-style ‘naked cake‘ with a scrumptious combination of caramel sauce and berries.

You could also welcome guests to their tables by setting out candy dishes holding dried cranberries. Then, for charming centerpieces, fill clear bowls with water and cranberries, tuck some golden-yellow autumn leaves around each bowl, then add 2 or 3 floating candles to each!

With such fabulous cranberry + yellow inspiration, we’re sure other creative ideas are filling your head right now. There are more gorgeous color combos, though, in our Fall Wedding Palette series. So be sure to follow along!

  1. I love this color palette. I am planning a wedding for my daughter. What do you think red apple bridesmaids dresses? Do you think these are too bright? They seem perfect for fall weddings. Any other suggestions.

  2. Red apple is a great color, but it all depends on the color scheme of your wedding. Another set of hues that are ideal for fall include: plum, purple, shaded spruce (a dark teal), and burnt orange.
