Fuchsia and Yellow: A Playful Spring Wedding Inspiration!

Fuchsia yellow color combo

Springtime! It’s all about florals, but what about a concept that is spunky and sassy yet über stylish for a spring wedding? Who do you think of? Why, Kate Spade of course! Based on her prior “Bold Blooms” line, we’re showcasing fun inspiration in a palette of fuchsia and yellow for a playful wedding fit for a bride and groom who want to celebrate their whimsical side in a special way.

Capture Spring in Bright and Beautiful Colors

A Spring wedding in fuchsia and yellow inspired by Kate Spade

1 – Be playful! You can’t get a more lighthearted vibe than decorating with paper pinwheels. These pink and yellow ones are perfect alternatives for the bridesmaids’ bouquets!

2 – The ‘Bold Blooms’ inspiration for this setting says it all. We’re talking hot, vibrant colors here, plus eye-catching florals that truly celebrate spring!

3 – The popping pink color and the bold floral liner in this wedding invitation suite seem made for this theme! The inspiration for this entire suite is…you guessed it…Kate Spade!

4 – What better way to set the ‘Bold Blooms’ theme than with your bridal bouquet! This stunning arrangement shows how you can literally have flowers make a fashion-forward statement in fuchsia and yellow gold.

5 – Your wedding cake should be a sweet extension of the theme, too. Take this charming example we found that is actually embellished with only pink blooms. But those yellow protea in the background look like they’re part of the topper. Just the inspiration we needed!

6 – The couple’s style should reflect that look with a fearless and fun use of color. You get the idea from this pair we found via a playful styled shoot. Check out the hot pink cardigan, tights, and tie and the yellow and pink backdrop and balloons!

7 – For the table decorations, keep up the same trendy spin. We love this example showing chic black flower vases with hot pink gerberas and table numbers in hot pink, too. The place settings are a must-see with hot pink napkins and yellow plate chargers set against a chic striped table cloth.

8 – Thinking about a dessert buffet? Do include ‘eye candy’ like these pink sparkly rock candy cupcakes. Ms. Spade herself would surely approve!

  1. Fuchsia and yellow have to be one of my fave color combos. It totally reminds me of the 1960s Gucci and Pucci designs!

  2. Yes, that’s so true! And, we love those designers! Pucci stuff are gorgeous! Thanks, Amy!

  3. I love fuchsia, but my groom doesn’t think we shold have such a strong color. How can I tone it down, while still incorporating this into my color palette?

  4. Hi Karenna. One trick to using bold colors (like fuchsia) at a wedding is to use it selectively, rather than in everything. Maybe in the bridesmaids’ bouquets and shoes; the gents’ boutonnieres? Then at the reception, perhaps just the table centerpieces with matching napkins…plus favors in fuchsia packaging!

Hope this will reassure your groom! 🙂
