Gorgeous + Fun = A Handcrafted Wedding Picnic by Belle Amour

Pom pom garlands for Bohemian wedding

A surprise discovery is always sweet. Especially when it’s as heartwarming and delightful as this styled picnic shoot we stumbled upon at Belle Amour U.K. And we’re not talking ordinary picnic here. Blog owner Debs explains in her intro: “this is inspiration for a casual picnic wedding where guests sit on blankets on the floor and eat food wrapped in individual bundles.”

Blankets and food bundles aren’t even the half of it, though. This set is just brimming with charming handcrafted details perfect for a bohemian-style wedding in the forest. Or if a picnic seems too casual for a wedding, perhaps a cozy outdoor bridal shower for the bride and her BFFs!

Decorations and food for Bohemian wedding

Here are the lovely touches that won our hearts:

– a delicious palette of purple, magenta, aqua, and white
– a backdrop garland out in the forest? why not? made of darling yarn pompoms, no less, seemingly suspended in mid-air
– the snuggliest crocheted blanket made by Debs herself, plus matching quilts to sit on
wildflower bouquets in the same lush colors, wrapped with lace and trimmed with cross-stitched buttons
floral crowns made from fabric scraps and fresh blooms
– sandwiches wrapped in wax paper bundles and striped twine, with tiny heart beads as accents
– desserts in jars with their own wooden spoons

If we were delighted by this surprise find on Belle Amour, just imagine how thrilled the guests would be at an actual picnic inspired by all this pretty craftiness!

Thanks so much to Debs and her photographer-friend Anna of Anna Hardy Weddings and their friend Michelle, who modeled for this shoot. Such fab ‘casual wedding picnic’ inspiration!
