We all know and love teal from its ‘peacock theme’ fame. But we’ve also discovered how elegant and stylish it can be as an accent color for fall! That’s right, step aside for a moment, orange, yellow, and red. Make way for this fabulous pairing of rich, chocolate brown with touches of teal. The effect is striking, yet sophisticated—as these inspiring images show. We highly recommend it to couples tying the knot this autumn!

Start off by welcoming guests with a receiving table filled with coffee-and-macarons served up in teal-glazed earthenware. Then, consider a teal-decorated wedding cake displayed along with matching pastries, plus a candy table trimmed with a sweet bunting banner (see palette below). Add in a wooden cake stand for a chic rustic touch! While your bridesmaids would look gorgeous in strapless teal gowns, paired either with classic pearls or custom autumn leaf-inspired necklaces.

Of course, you would have already given guests a preview of this elegant color scheme when you sent out your wedding invitations. Your couple’s chairs would be so charming with color-coordinated signs, playing up the woodsy tones and textures that are so much a part of fall. The groom, meanwhile, could sport a caramel-colored orchid boutonniere with a teal wrap, plus a matching pocket square. Lastly, instead of a real bouquet that will wilt in a week, why not try a brooch bouquet, combining muted neutrals that really make teal come out!
Goodness, just envisioning this setting is making us all excited for those warm and cozy fall weddings. So it’s official, we’re definite teal and brown palette fans! Join us?
I think teal has to be one of the most soothing and gorgeous shades of blue that there is. Yes, it’ s perfect for a wedding celebration and blends just beautifully with nature and the complimenting colors of the outdoors
We totally agree, Amy! As we said at the end of this post, we’re definite teal and brown palette fans. 🙂
