There are traditional wedding guest books…and there are amazingly creative alternatives. One option that we stumbled upon has a cool, artistic slant: Shadow Boxes! Wouldn’t you love to have your wedding guests’ wishes and greetings as part of the decor on your Big Day? Then, to have them on display at home for you to enjoy through the years? Well, here are 3 creative ways we found for you to do just that!
Ideas for Your Own Shadow Box Guest Book
You could order a ready-made shadow bow kit like this sweet and simple one from etsy shop Pretty Proposal (1), complete with pre-cut paper hearts and a matching sign.
Or you could opt to DIY your shadow box. Find or make a deep-set frame and fill it with your collection of wine bottle corks (2)—if you don’t mind guests writing their little notes or perhaps their names on them! Spotted this crafty idea via Pinterest (if you know the original source, please do let us know).
Another fabulous idea for a rustic, barn, or woodland wedding is this “Drop Top Wedding Guest Book” (3) from The Wedding Tree (image via Wedding Ideas Mag). It has vari-sized wooden hearts made from the finest English oak—that guests then drop in from the top of the frame!
