3 Easy DIY Favor Ideas: Heartwarming and Homemade

Easy favors that you can diy

Planning an intimate, at-home wedding party? Then, your guest favors should capture that warm vibe as well. And with just a small guest list for the occasion, then DIY is the way to go!

In this first of our weekly features on handmade favors, we’re delighted to be starting off with ideas that are heartwarming and homespun. You can convey this either by the favor items themselves or by the materials and style of packaging. You’ll see what we mean when you check out the sweet trio of ideas below!

We’re Excited to Share these Fantastic Ideas

DIY favors ideas that are homemade

  1. Take a break from the usual straw baskets and use mini terra cotta pots to hold your favors. But not just the conventional favor items either. This idea featured on Delish.com (originally from Country Living) suggests filling each pot with gift items that you know each guest would particularly enjoy and use. And to complete the personal touch, stamp the pots with the guests initials!
  2. How more homespun can you get than yummy caramel apples? But rather than spend time making them or money buying them ready-made, take a tip from I Love Farm Weddings. Create caramel apple “kits” (idea from Event Trender), each containing one fresh apple and a jar of scrumptious caramel dip! Guests are sure to be delighted.
  3. Lastly, another fab find is this homespun charmer of a muslin-topped gift box. Shared on The Sweetest Occasion by Jenny of Hank & Hunt (great little tutorial included), it is a totally doable and very versatile packaging option for your favors. Simply modify the colors and shapes of the darling bunting on top, plus the matching gift tag, to suit your chosen wedding theme.
